Aero Mechanical Conveyor Description
Proven Design
The Spiroflow Aero Mechanical Conveyor is a design that has been used in many operations throughout the world and has stood the test of time as the most effective solutions. This conveyor has a tubular design with evenly spaced polyurethane discs on a wire rope guide. The rope/disc assembly is driven by sprockets on each end of the conveyor.
From 0 to 90 Degree Operating Angle
Material entering this tubular conveyor moves at high speeds in air pockets similar to pneumatic conveying. Because of this fluidization of material, the conveyor can be design at any angle from 0 to 90 degrees. This allows for more flexibility in the layout of your process.
Easily Cleaned
With the total transfer nature of the system, the Aero Mechanical Conveyor will not need to be cleaned in most operations. To avoid cross contamination, it is often easiest to run a small sacrificial sample of the new material to purge the system of the old material. Additionally, the conveyor can be designed to have wash gates for the more stringent food operations where the conveyor needs to be thoroughly cleaned out.
Total Batch Transfer
The Aero Mechanical Conveyor is ideal for rapid transfer of batch material. In a batch operation it is important to be assured that everything entering the conveyor will exit the conveyor to maintain mixture ratios. This Spiroflow conveyor is perfect for these operations.
Designed for Gentle Material
Conveying fragile and friable materials can be a challenge with many conveyor options. However, with the aero mechanical conveyor, gently conveying material is easy because the pocket of air that the material is traveling in serves as a cushion.
Multiple Inlets and Outlets
With the idea of supporting any dry bulk material operation, Spiroflow has design their conveyor to be able to discharge and input material at multiple points along the conveyor. This allows for many more configuration options.
Options for Mobile Units
With high demand for mobile tubular conveyors, Spiroflow designed their Aero Mechanical Conveyor to be able to skid mounted on wheels with controls and power connection for operations where buying multiple conveyors isn’t ROI efficient.
Good for Difficult to Convey Materials
Most all the common dry bulk materials can be conveyed with this conveyor. Often very fine powders are difficult to convey with traditional methods. The Aero Mechanical Conveyor handles these without issue.
Prevents Mixture Separation
The gentle conveying action mentioned earlier does not have the same tendency to disturb mixtures like some alternate conveying methods do.
Totally Enclosed System / No Need for Dust Collection
With the aero mechanical design, excess material that does not exit the conveyor at the discharge will be carried back through the conveyor on the return. This automatic handling of excess material and air through the enclosed loop eliminates the need for dust collection on the end of the Aero Mechanical Conveyor.
